A Commercial Pilot License (CPL) is the entry-level certification required for pilots who wish to fly professionally and be compensated for their services. FAA Requirements (As per Part 61.123)
Hold at least a Private Pilot Certificate (PPL)
Read, write, and speak English fluently
Be at least 18 years old to obtain a CPL
Flight Experience Requirements (As per Part 61.129)
Total Flight Time Required: 150 Hours
100 Hours in Powered Aircraft (50 Hours must be in a helicopter)
100 Hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) (35 Hours must be in a helicopter, including 10 cross-country hours in a helicopter)
Dual Flight Training (20 Hours with Instructor):
Solo Flight or Dual Flight with Instructor (10 Hours Required):

The total cost of obtaining a CPL varies based on individual progress, consistency, and flight hours. The hourly rates for flight training remain the same as those listed for the Private Pilot License (PPL).
